Pregnancy Socials

These pregnancy social events are to help you meet and connect with other local pregnant women, in a relaxed, friendly and sociable space. Because finding your tribe of mums who get it can make a HUGE different to your pregnancy and early motherhood. And you need some great folks to hang out with on mat leave! Come and join us.

Guaranteed friendly, non-judgemental and open to all

My pregnancy socials are inspired by the casual social gatherings of my favourite places. They bring together a relaxed vibe, a lovely space, delicious food and a pregnancy-friendly glass of something good. All enjoyed whilst meeting and chatting to with other mothers-to-be.

So many of my favourite memories are from gathering around a table, sharing food & drinks and conversation with people. Conversations flow over delicious food and drinks, numbers are swapped and friendships are made. This is the essence and beauty of these socials and the For Modern Mothers community.

The idea for these social events came from a desire to create a space where people would not feel intimidated to come to a social event without knowing anyone.

In a nutshell think:  lovely setting, great company, relaxed vibe.

Come to me Pregnancy Yoga classes, held on a Monday and a Thursday evening. It helps mums-to-be to connect with their baby and their amazing growing and changing pregnant body, strengthens and keeps the body mobile, eases aches and pains, can help you sleep better and you also learn lovely breathing and relaxation techniques too.  There really are so many benefits and you don't need to have practices any yoga before, or to bit 'fit' or 'bendy' or anything! You can start anytime from 14 weeks (ie the second trimester), and it will benefit you right up until baby is born.

I teach lovely friendly and award winning weekly pregnancy yoga classes in York, and I also run longer Pregnancy Yoga workshops and mini retreats in both York and Harrogate. To find out more about them and book your place visit the Pregnancy Yoga page of my website
