I am delighted to teach Mum & Baby Postnatal Yoga to women in and around York.
Mum & Baby Post Natal yoga is a wonderful practice and a great way to heal, strengthen and nurture yourself without needing a babysitter. It helps you to reconnect with your body, find some calm and stillness in this exciting but exhausting time, and also have time to really nourish and replenish yourself as a new mother - which is so very important.
I currently teach this as a weekly class and as private one-to-one yoga sessions. This can also be arrange as lessons for small groups of friends, or in other local yoga studios. As well as being a qualified pregnancy and postnatal yoga teacher I am also a trained Doula and a Baby Massage teacher, a specialist birth trauma recovery practitioner and have training to help support breastfeeding. For new mothers - I have got your back! I run classes that are welcoming to all, super friendly, supportive and guaranteed non-judgemental. Come exactly as you are, you’ll be warmly welcomed.

You come exactly as you are (unwashed hair and baby sick down your back!) and will be warmly welcomed. Classes are supportive and relaxed and there’s tome to chat and connect with the other lovely local mums. The classes aim to provide a little pocket of calm in the rollercoaster of motherhood, To soothe your mind and help you reconnect with your body in a gentle way.

All classes are suitable for all women, regardless on type of birth you had. From 5-6 weeks postnatal, up to baby being 12 months old (or on the move and you don’t get any yoga done!). You also get tea/coffee and biscuits too - what a yoga class!

Weekly Classes // January & early February 2025 // Southbank, York
Wednesdays // 11.30am to 12.45am
Location: Southlands Community Hall, 97 Bishopthorpe Road, Southbank, York, YO23 1NX (a short walk from the city centre, plus lots of parking options too)
Price: 6 weeks of classes are just £60
Wednesdays: 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th January. 5th, 12th February 2025
Fees: Just £10 per week, booked by the term (or part term if spaces available).
In addition you can also get a cuppa & biscuits included and time to chat with the other lovely mums at the end of the class - priceless! Plus access to a small library of postnatal yoga class recording too for the duration of the term, and to a super supportive online Facebook community of local mums too - all included in one weekly fee.

This is yoga specially for mums with babies, up to 12 months old. It's yoga for YOU, but baby comes too for some lovely time together breathing, moving and relaxing. The classes create a wonderful community atmosphere that provide emotional and physical support. They are friendly, fun and easy going classes taught in a safe and nurturing environment.
The main body of the class is created around gentle stretches and postures that release the regular parental tensions; sore neck, shoulders and back. We also gently re-engage with your core and the pelvic floor to help tone these important areas. The babies take part too with some nursery rhymes and songs, and then we end the class with a quiet relaxation time to nourish tired minds and allow you extra time to bond with your baby.
The yoga and relaxation will be followed by time for tea & biscuits or fresh fruit (covid-permitting, whichever you fancy, or indeed both!), so you have time to chat and connect with other mums too.
Who are the classes for?
Open to women from 6 weeks postnatally up until baby is around 10 to 12 months old (or when they are so crawly off you can't do the yoga anymore!!). Absolutely no previous yoga experience required, and everyone warmly welcomed..
